Minutes of therrecessed meeting held in the city municipal building ~ ~2 :
October 15, 1975.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmen Dwain Kinghorn, Jack Menard,
Earl Romriell, Wayne Taylort Attorney Don Burnett and Clerk Vera An~strong.
Meeting called to order at 10:40 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
Purpose of meeting is to take action on proceedings of adoption of ordinance
calling an election on the question of issuing the City's Water improvement
revenue bond and all other business which may come before such meeting.
WATER IMPROV~,74ENT REVENUE BONDS - Mayor and Council discussed revenues avail-
able to repay a revenue bond issue. Mayor and Council determined the city
could meet an interest and principal payment of $30,000.00 per year which
would allow the city to bond for $250,000.00.
WATER P~EVENUE ELECTION BOND , ORDINANCE #157 - Ordinance #157 read in full by
Attorney Don Burnett.
Motion to dispense with rule of reading Ordinance ~f157 on three separate
days made by Councilman Romriell. Motion seconded by Councilman Taylor.
Roll call vote: Kinghorn, yes; Menard, yes; Romriell, yes; Tayler; yes.
M~0ti0~ %q adopt Water Revenue Bond Election Ordinance ~157 made by Councilman
Menard. Motion seconded by Councilman Kinghorn. Roll call vote: Kinghorn,
yes; Menard, yes; Romriel&, yes; Taylor, yes.
Councilman Taylor moved and Councilman Menard seconded the clerk be ordered
to publish ordinance in full immediately and in at least one issue of the
Idaho State Journal which is the official newspaper of the city of Chubbuck.
RESOLUTION# 7-75 Appointing judges and clerks for the general city election
to be held November 4, 1975 was read in f~ll by Mayor Cotant. Resolution
also establishes the compensation of election judges and clerks at $20.00
per day.
Councilman Kinghorn moved the council adopt Resolution #~-75. Councilman
Romriell seconded motion with all councilmen voting in favor.
SPECIAL PUSLIC MEETING - Mayor and Council set a public meeting on discussion
of the water revenue bond issue for October 21 at 8:00 p.m.
Special P & Z Meeting - Mayor and Council set a special Planning and Zoning
meeting for October 23 at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of reviewing the Bar
X Tracts Subdivision and other local planning business.
CouncfJ_man Menard moved and Councilman Taylor seconded motion that the
meeting be adjourned at 12:20 a.m. October 16.
