May 21, 1975
Minutes of the adjourned May 2Oth meeting held in the city municipal budlding
May 21, 1975.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmen Dwain Kinghorn, Jack Menard, and
Wayne Taylor, Clerk Vera Armstrong. Attorney Burnett excused.
Meeting was called to order at ~:15 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
SAWER SERVICE LINE OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS - Dallas Millard, West Chubbuck Road was
present and informed council there is two buried telephone cable lines lying
along south side of main sewer line along his property location, therefore he
will be unable to run an eight inch line in the street north of his property to
the nearest marnhole to provide him sewer service. The only solution seems to
be installation of manhole at point he hooks directly north into main line,
which would be quite costly. Mr. Millard was told he w~ill need to be the judge
if he can afford to install a manhole.
HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION WATM LINES - Mayor and Council discussed the city participating
on cost of water lines over the s~x inch size. It was the general feeling of
mayor and council that Clark Real Estate is benefiting from the larger pump to
be installed at Well #3 and the several hundred feet of ten inch water lines
installed by the city the past year.
Councilman Menard moved the Heights Subdivision install the eight inch and ten
inch water lines as proposed on the master plan within the subdivision. The
city will participate on cost of material only of over the six inch size on the
main water line that fronts the Heights Subdivision on West Chubbuck Road.
The city w~l furnish and install main water line from Joy Street to property
location of the Heights Subdivision on West Chubbuck Road. Councilman Taylor
seconded motion with all councilmen voting in favor.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned until next regular
scheduled council meeting May 27th.
