December 9, 1980
Minutes of a special workshop council meeting held in the city
municipal building December 9, ]980.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Becky A. Hopkins,
Dwain A. Kinghorn, LeRoy S. Quick and Earl L. Romriell. Attorney
Donald L. Burnett, Engineer Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Vera
C. Armstrong.
Meeting called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
Purpose of 7:00 p.m. council meeting is to study sign ordinance.
SIGN ORDINANCE - Mayor and council discussed the proposed sign
ordinance. Attorney Burnett made note of some proposed changes.
Mayor and council discussed setting time aside to clear up pending
items. Decision was to meet January 6, 1981 in a workshop meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
