CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO
RESOLUTION No. 12-2010
WHEREAS, the Chubbuck Impact Area Wastewater Collection Authority ( "Authority ")
was formed by a Joint Powers Agreement between the cities of Chubbuck and Pocatello and
Bannock County;
WHEREAS, the City of Chubbuck, by its ordinance number 658, the City of Pocatello by
its resolution 2008 -30 and Bannock County by its ordinance number 2008 -3 provided for a sewer
connection fee and further provided that modifications to the connection fee could be adopted by
resolution of the respective governing board from time to time after recommendation by the
Chubbuck Impact Area Wastewater Collection Authority;
WHEREAS, the Authority has recommended increasing the connection fee to $5490;
WHEREAS; Ordinance 658 tied the fee to the issuance of a building permit and the
Authority as well as its member bodies have determined the fee should be collected based upon
an actual connection to the waste water collection authority in accordance with the By -Laws and
regulations adopted by the Authority;
WHEREAS; The City has in its prior resolutions referred to the connection fee as being
collected for each building permit issued;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of
Chubbuck as follows:
The sewer connection fee is increased to $5490 per Equivalent Residential Unit ( "BRU ")
effective for connections made to the waste water collection facility after January 1, 2010.
