Council Meeting Minutes
January 24, 2012
7:00 p.m.
Minutes of a regular council meeting held at the Chubbuck City Council Chambers, January 24,
2012. Present: Mayor Steven England, Council Members; Josh Ellis, Kevin England, Brent
Marshall, Kermit Morrison, Attorney Thomas Holmes, Public Works Director Steven Smart,
Deputy Clerk Nelli Simmons, Absent: Clerk Rich Morgan.
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Mayor Steve England.
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Colton Corrington of Troop 335 of the Boys Scouts
of America.
Invocation was offered by Pastor John Robinson of the Gate City Christian Church.
Council Member England moved to approve the regular meeting minutes of January 10, 2012
subject to corrections. Council Member Morrison seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, England -
yes, Marshall -yes, Morrison -yes.
Mayor England and Steve Smart explained the emergency nature of our phone system purchase.
Council Member England moved to declare an emergency in the purchase of the city phone
system. Council Member Ellis seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, England -yes, Marshall -yes,
Morrison -yes.
Computer print -out claims for January 24, 2012 were presented to Mayor England and Council.
Council Member Morrison moved to approve the claims. Council Member Marshall seconded.
Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, England -yes, Marshall -yes, Morrison -yes.
Council Member Ellis ask Steve Smart to do some analysis on the recycling program in
Chubbuck.
At 8:12pm Council Member England moved to adjourn. Council Member Morrison seconded
and the full council approved.
