Minutes of the Land Use and Development Commission held at Chubbuck City Office, 5160
Yellowstone, September 6, 2005
Present: Chairman Pete Anderson; Commission Members: Lee Merrill, Mary Harker, Michelle
Christy, Shawna Elzner; City Staff. Larry Kohntopp; Attorney Tom Holmes and Secretary
Myrna Crapo.
Chairman Anderson asked for approval of the minutes of regular meeting of August 2, 2005; and
study session of August 16, 2005; Mark Harker moved to approve the minutes as mailed,
Michelle Christy, seconded; all voted in favor.
Jason Mendenhall and DeLoy Stuart were excused.
PUBLIC HEARING:
1. A conditional use permit application by Mandy Zweigert, 1626 Onyx, Pocatello,
Idaho, for a conditional Use Permit for a childcare center in conjunction with tumbling
facility. Property is zoned (1) Industrial. Property is located 5795 Industry Way
Mandy Zweigert, 1626 Onyx, explained to the commission that she would be having an
after school program for one hour. They would have a van pick up the children after school.
They are opened Monday thru Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On the days school is out
they will take field trips. They plan on having from 12 children to 20 children and will be using
the whole building. They will also have up to 6 preschoolers in the mornings. The kids will be
indoors. They will be putting in a class room.
Chairman Anderson opened the public hearing.
There was no public input so the hearing was closed.
Mary Harker moved to approve the application by Mandy Zweigert, 1626 Onyx, Pocatello,
Idaho, for a conditional Use Permit for a childcare center in conjunction with a tumbling facility
or after school program. Property is zoned (I) Industrial. Property is located 5795 Industry
Way. Shawna Elzner seconded. Roll call vote: L Merrill, yes; Mary Harker, yes; Michelle
Christy, yes; Shawna Elzner, yes; Pete And n, n
Lee Merrill moved to adjourn at 7:1'
