HomeMy WebLinkAbout009 07 72Minutes of the regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission held in the city municipal building September 7, 1972. Meeting called to order 8:30 p.m. by Chairman Del Peters. Present: Chairman Del. Peters, Allen Martin, Rodney Parrish, James Branson, Jack Menard and secretary Vera Armstrong. Minutes of the meeting of August 3, 1972 read and approved as written - however, Chairman Del Peters noted the business with the Upper Snake River Dairymen's Association will be reviewed again at this meeting because the full details were not presented at the last meeting. UPPER SNAKE RIVER DAIRYMEN'S ACCOSIATION - Ben Williams, representative of Association present and also Joe Brennan, owner of property proposed for business. Mr. Williams and Mr. Brennan presented plans for the proposed business. Mr. Williams reported there would be a retail store connected with the distributing plant. Chairman Peters stated the retail business would comply with the requirements of the C-11, zone. The distributing plant part of the business was discussed with all members in agreement that this commercial business would work well in this present zoning of C -1L (Neighborhood commercial -Livestock) which borders a Light Industrial zone. Allen Martin made motion the Planning and Zoning recommend the City Council grant the application for a building permit to Upper Snake River Dairymen's Association for construction of their proposed business on this property if they so desire. Branson seconded the motion with a unanimous vote in favor. VARIANCE REQUEST TO PLACE TRAILER ON PROPERTY off Hiline Rd. Mr. & Mrs Bruce Wilson have been deeded one acre of ground from Dale Hancock which is located west of Hiline Rd and north of I-15 West. This area is zoned Agricultural Transitional. He is requesting permission to place a trailer home on same. His plans are to build a home on the acre and the trailer hose will be moved next May. Chairman Peters told him he must comply with zoning ordinance which requires paying a $10.00 filing fee with a variance request, which will require 15 days publication notice for a hearing and the commission will hold a special meeting if necessary. Councilman Menard informed commission member, Attorney Green is taking the Chubbuck Zoning Ordinance to court. Meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m. Chairman Del Peters Secretary Vera Armstrong
