Meeting called to order at 8:15 o' clock by Chairmai~ Del Peters. Present: Chaizman Del Peters, Co~mission members James Branson, Allen ~[artin, Jack Menard and Rodney Parrish. Minutes of April 6 meeting read and approved as read. LIV~[STOCK REQUIRE~.~NT DI$CL~S~D _ J~mes Branson suggest using unit unit numbers as basis for control of animals. Cleanliness and shelter should also be con- sidered. Branson is to contact Farmers Home for unit information and work out a proposed formula for next meeting. TWIN THEATRF~ ~ Rodney Parrish stated it appeared there wasn't enough parking for the amount of seating at the Twin Theatres. It was also mentioned that Green Triangle's parking is inadequate. It was decided the zoning ordinance requires 1~ parking spaces and that the Morris Brothers had more spaces than this requirement. Marked parking and entrances for Twin Theatres and Green Triangle discussed. Rodney Parrish made motion the zoning co~aission or Del Peters send letter to State Highway DeDartment urging them to hasten plans of the Triangle Corner construction so that e~rances could be planned for these businesses. A unanimous vote carried the motion. C2~RO~EL MOBILE COURT - Commission reviewed, plans for Carousel Court. Rodney Parrish and Jack Menard stated he should buy a building permit and put in sidewalks as stated in Traile~' Ordinance. Aftar reviewing plans further and checking minutes of September 1969 the conm~ssion found his plat had been approved and present ordinances possibly would not apply. BUILDING CONSTRUCTION ~ ~o ~UBJEC~ - Jack Menard stated the two new houses on Burley Drive were too close together and did not meet Zoning requirements. Rodney Parrish remarked that Fred Chase did nct buy building penmits for half of his construction. City clerk Vera nrmstrong informed him they did buy building permits for all construction. Menard and Parrish also said the round house belonging to John T. Harrison on Hawthorne Road did not meet footing requirements. It was suggested by Menard that all commercial building permits be reviewed by the planning and zoning commission before issuance. Commission ma~bers discussed hiring a building inspector and felt that part time on a percentage basis would be more logical than full time. Del Peters said he could see no reason why the city should consider electricsl or plmnbing inspections because they are handled efficiently by the State. Meeting adjourned. 9:50 p.m.
