building March 22, 1973
Present: Chair~u James Branson, Milton Klein, Allen Martin, Jack Menard,
Larry Rawlins and Rodney Parrish and Del Peters.
Meeting called to order by Chairman James Branson at 7:00 o'clock p.m.~
FOUR-P~.EX PLAN was presented by Larry Rawlins, which he proposes to b~i! d
at 2&6 E. Chubbuck Rd. in a ~i~hb~r~ood~ 'do~m,~ ~e. Commission stated
the zoning allowed multiple building. James Branson remarked ~he felt
Planning and zoning shoed check multiple dwelling b~ilding requests to
help contractors so that no mistakes will be made and to make sure the
zoning and sub-division ordinances are adhered to. Del Peters made a
motion the commission approve the preliminary plan,with the stipnlation
that curb, gutter and sidewalks be inst~11 ed, so that Mr. Rawlins can
obt~u a building permit. Allen Martin seconded with m~nanimous vote in
favor of motion.
SUB-DIVISION plat was presented by ~ Clark and Gary Clawson. Area to be
divided is 70 acres owned by the Clarks and just west of the Neider Addition.
Lots vary from 22,000 to 108,500 sq ft and consists of 78 lots. S~/~ Rodney
Clark stated their' purpose for presenting the plat at this time was so that
arrangements could be made for their sewer plans before the main sewer line
goes by their property. Mr. Clark asked for any suggestions on his plat.
He was advised curb, gutter and sidewalks would be required. Commission
member Menard said his only suggestion was to plan so lots could be made
smaller if so desired at a later time. Commission also suggested putting
in a pressure irrigation system. General feeling of comm~ ssion was the
plat was good and the area also excellent. Allen Martin suggested closing
the proposed street from Boyd Street into the sub-division.
Commission informed Mr. Clark he would be required to submit a preliminary
plat to the Planning and Zoniug first and then Council would act 'on the
plat afterwards. A penciled drawing only being presented at this meeting.
REPORT- Chairman Branson reported to commission he had written a letter to
council recommending they decline the variance request of Steve Poppleton
to place a trashier on Burley Drive and the council acted on matter with
denial of request also. He also informed the commission an ordinance was
being drawn up to rezone the Ross Kelly and Francisco Cuoio property, to R-2L.
~ zoning matters were discussed. Allen Martin asked if Gary Carlsen, on
Buffalo Rd.,was sub-dividing and if so he would suggest annexing his property.
