Minutes of a special Planning and Zoning meeting held in the city municipal
bud2ding Marhh 18, 1975
Present: Acting Chairman Jack Menard, Allen Martin, Rodney Parrish, Del
Peters and Ed Reese. James Branson and Larry Rawlins excused
Purpose of the special meeting is to hold a public hearing on the proposed
zoning of the proposed Paradise Acres Subdiv.~eion~ Northwest Development
have requested annexation of this development to the city.
Acting Chariman Jack Menard read letter from Dean Lloyd, Northwest Develop-
ment President, requesting zoning of Residential 2 (two) for all residential
lots in the development. Northwest Development have reserved a seven acre
arcel of property facing Siphon Road and requested this area be zoned C-1

Mr. Glen Kinlock was present and objected to the _ ~ along Yellowstone Avenue
being left open and also stated his objection to zoning commercial along
Siphon Road. Rodney Parrish of the commission also reiterated these objections.
Mr. Lloyd told commission the Fort Hall Irrigation Company were ~ very
adamant about the canal not being covered.
The commission expressed concern over zoning the area reserved for commercial
along Siphon Road Commercial - l(Neighborhood commercial) because of the fact
this zone would allow all types of multiple housing.
After some discussion Rodney Parrish moved the first 300 feet west of Yellowstone
Highway be zoned Commercial - 3 (General) and the balance of the reserved area
along Siphon Road be zoned Agricultural Transitional~ the balance of the develop-
ment to be used for housing and park to be zoned Residential -2 (two).
D~i Peters Seconded motion and immediately withdrew his motion. The motion
failed for lack of a second.
Allen Martin moved the Planning and Zoning recommend council zone Parcel B
which consists of residential housing portion of development Residential - 2
and Parcel A which consists of area reserved for future commercial be zoned
Agricultural T~ansitional. Ed Reese seconded motion. Roll call vote:
Martin, yes; Mena~d, yes; Parrish, noS Peters, yes; Reese, yes.
Meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
