Minutes of the regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission, APril 5,

or corrections to the minutes, there being none, Dean Wood made motion to

PUBLIC HEARING ITEM:
1. A proposal by Don Andra requesting a variance to allow the use
of a mobil home for a temporary office facility for Intermountain Trucking
Company, for a period not to exceed six (6) months. The proposed location
is at 133 East Linden in an area zoned General Commercial (C-3).
Chairman Stalder read Mr. Andra's letter of request. Mr. Andra stated he
was interested in providing temporary office space until such a time he
could build a building for his own use and Intermountain Trucking Company.
Mr. Andra presented a petition from home owners within three hundred feet of his
property stating they had no objection to the trailer.
Chairman Stalder asked if Mr. Andra planned on the trailer being only a
temporary office or if he had plans of it being permanent. Mr. Andra said
it would be temporary and it would be placed immediately if variance is
granted. He said they had the water and sewer already installed.
Dell Peters made motion to grant variance to Don Andra, to place a trailer,
at 133 E. Linden, for a temporary office space for Intermountain Trucking
for a period of six months. Janet Williams seconded the motion. At this
point a discussion followed on trailers being used on a temporary basis.
Chairman Stalder called for a vote on motion: Peters, no; Williams, no;
Wood, no; Hopkins, no; Kinghorn, no; and Stalder, no.
Becky Hopkins asked Mr. Andra if he had applied for a building permit. He
said he had not as yet but plans were in the process of being developed.
Becky Hopkins said a variance should not be granted for a six months period;
they should be limited to three months; as the city had had a problem just
recently granting a variance for a mobil home as an office for six months.
Mr. Andra said if he was not able to obtain money to build, they might want
to retain the trailer for a longer period of time. If money would not be
available he would probably have to build a small metal building.
Dell Peters made motion to grant varianceto D on Andra, to place a trailer,
at 133 E. Linden, for a temporary office sPaCe for Intermountain Trucking
Company for three (3) months, if concrete evidence building is in progress
