Present: Chairman Michael Metcalfe, C~u.ission Members: Dee Stalder, Pete Anderson, Richard Allen, City Engineer Steven Smart and Secretary Dorothy Ward. M~eting called to order at 8:00 p.m. by Chairman Metcalfe. Chairman Metcalfe askedfor any corrections or additions to the minutes of May 7, 1981, there being none, Dee Stalder made motion to accept minutes as written. Richard Allen seconded the m~tionwith all co~missionmembers voting in favor. OTHER BUSINESS: 1. DESIGN RA%FIA~- Me-n-Ed's Pizza Parlor Sign - Steven Smart explained to the con~nission members that under Orinance # 226, a business with a non-conforming sign can request a design review. Richard Allenmademotion to reconm~nqd to the city council for approval the Design Review of Me-n-Ed's Pizza Parlor sign. Dee Stalder seconded the motion, with all voting in favor. 2. DESIGN REVIEW - Taco Bandido Sign - Pete Andersonmademotion to reconmend to the city council for approval the Design Review of Taco Bandido Sign. Richard Allen seconded the motion, the voting was unanimous in favor. 3. Rick L. Staven - review of variance to allow a mobile home at 147 W. Linden for residential purposes. Variance was granted in 1977. Mr. Slaven stated they plan on selling their mobile home in the near future, and asked tohave the variance renewed for one year. Mrs. Slaven expressed concern of the junk cars that are being stored out side of screened yard across the street frc~ them. Dee Staldermade motion to grant Rick L. Slaven, 147 W. Linden, a renewal of variance, for a mobile home for residential purposes, subject to a yearly review. Pete Anderson seconded the motion. All conmission members voted in favor. 4. DES~_GNREVI~W - John Price Develo~xnent & Impact Sign Company, sign for Pine Ridge Mall. The conmission discussed with Steven Smart the signs at the Pine Ridge Mall. Richard Allenmademotion to recommend to the city council for their approval theDesignReviewof JohnPricelDevelopment and Impact Sign Ccg~any for the sign at the Pine Ridge Mall with the following recc~nendation: sign be set DESIGN REVIEW,. ~ John Price Development & Impact Sign Co., continued back a minimum of fifteen feet from Yellowstone Highway right-of-way and a minimum of ten feet from curb on access road. Dee Stalder seconded the motion. All voted in favor. DESIGN REVIEW - Chubbuck Car & Truck Wash - Sign- Pete Anderson made motion to reconm~nd to the city council for approval, the Design Review of Chubbuck Car & Truck Wash sign. Dee Stalder seconded the motion, with all voting in favor. DESIGN REVIEW - Five Mile Inn Sign - Dee Stalder made motion to recon~nend for approval the DeSign Review of Five Mile Inn Sign, to the city council. Pete Anderson seconded the motion. All voted in favor. DESIGN REVIEW - Dalee "0" Drive In Sign. Cc~mission members discussed type of signs being used. Richard Allen made motion to recor~aend to the city council they approve the Design Review of Dalee "O" Drive In permanent sign. Dee Stalder seconded the motion with all voting in favor. Steven Smart explained the proposed zoning changes on the area of City Impact east of the Sewage Treatment Plant. Chairman Metcalfe had requested the conmission elect a new chairman of the Land Use & Development Co~mission. Chairman Metcalfe made motion to nominate Richard Allen as Chairman of the T~nd Use Co~nission. Dee Stalder seconded the nomination. Dee Stalder made motion that nominations cease. Pete Anderson seconded the motion. The Land Use Co~mission unanimously elected Richard Allen as Chairman. Michael Metcalfe made motion to adjourn at 9:10 P.M. Dee Stalder seconded the motion.
