Home My WebLink About001 07 82LAND USE & DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES January 7, 1982 Minutes of the regular meeting of the Land Use and Development Commission held in the city ~unicipal building, January 7, 1982. Present: Chairman Richard Allen, Commission M~mbers: Pete Anderson, Earl Romriell, Dee Stalder, Janet Williams, City Engineer Steven Smart and Secretary Dorothy Ward. Meeting called to order at 8:20 p.m. by Chairman Allen. Chairman Allen asked for any corrections or additions to the minutes of December 3, 1981. There being none, Dee Stalder made motion to accept minutes as written. Pete Anderson seconded the motion, with all commission members voting in favor. OTHER BUSINESS: 1. Design Review - Sign - Doug's Builder Sales, 4613 Yellowstone. Mr. Smart explained the sign was a temporary sign that Mr. Tanner wished to make permanent, by installing welded steel poles set in concrete. Earl Romreill made motion to recommend to the city council for approval the sign of Doug's Builder Sales. The sign to be constructed as submitted on'plans and to meet all building codes. Janet Williams seconded the motion, with all commission members voting in favor. 2. Design Review - Sign Systems, Inc., - Chuckwagon Restaurant. Sign for North's The commission members reviewed the signs to be used for North's Chuckwagon Restuarant. Earl Romriell made motion to recommend to the city council for approval the D~sign Review for signs_at North's Chuck- wagon Restuarant, as requested by SiGn Systems, Inc. Dee Stalder seconded the motion, with ali commission members voting in favor. 3. Denny's, Inc. - Design Review for restaurant at Yellowstone Highway and 1-86. Engineer Steven Smart presented the plans and reviewed the drawings with the Commission. DESIGN REVIEW - DENNY'S, Inc., - continued - The commission discussed the following items: a) The green areas b) Provision for curb, gutter and sidewalk Pete Anderson said there were several areas shown that he felt would be hard to maintain as a green area, the way they were shown on the plans. The Commission wanted to go on record that they felt there was a lot of green area shown on the plans and they were concerned if they could be maintained. Earl Romriell made motion to recommend to the city council the Design Review for Denny's, Inc. be approved, subject to the following conditions: a) Built in underground sprinkler system for vegatation. b) Curb, gutter and sidewalk on access road to Industrial Park. c) List of vegatation to be submitted to City Council for review and explanation of vegatation. Pete Anderson seconded the motion with all commission members voting in favor. Dee Stalder made-motion to adjourn at 9:00 p.m., seconded by Pete Anderson with all commission members Voting in favor.
