HomeMy WebLinkAbout004 04 85LAND USE AND DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES APRIL 4, 1985 Minutes of the regular meeting of the Land Use and Development Commission held in the city municipal building, April 4, 1985. Present: Chairman Pete Anderson, Commission Members: Becky Hopkins, Robert Allen, Sue Parrish, Dee Stalder, Public Works Director Steven Smart and Secretary Dorothy Ward. Members Janet Williams and Ron Nelson were excused. Meeting called to order at 8:07 p.m. by Chairman Anderson. Chairman Anderson asked for any additions or corrections to the minutes of March 7, 1985. Sue Parrish asked the minutes be corrected; (2) Review of Preliminary Plat for Hiline Heights Subdivision, page 3, Janet Williams said she would approve the change of Buffalo Road opening onto Hiline Road. Sue Parrish made motion to accept minutes as corrected. Becky Hopkins seconded the motion, with all commission members voting in favor. OTHER BUSINESS: 1. Review of preliminary plat for Hiline Heights Subdivision, on land east of the Hiline Canal between Chubbuck Road and 1-86 Interstate, located on the southeast corner of Chubbuck Road and Hiline Road. Item tabled from March 7, 1985 meeting, following items to be resolved: 1. Location of canal easement. Mr. Parrish presented a letter from Mr. John B. Packer, Acting Supervisor, Civil Engineer, Fort Hall Agency, stating their require- ments for the Hiline Canal through proposed Hiline Heights Subdivision. Letter on file. 2. Cash in lieu of park ground. Mr. Parrish stated they would prefer giving cash rather than park land. 3. Access to subdivision by Bluebird. had been changed to show this access. Preliminary plat On file. 4. Safety of canal, once easement established. Parrish provided a Certificate and Dedication. Mr. Becky Hopkins asked if property owners would be required to place fence along canal. Mr. Parrish said yes they would, that it would be part of the plat. Steve Smart said city could · n~ur~% fencing when building permit issued. Becky Hopkins expressed concern about the run off from Bedford. Steven Smart said their would have to be an easement provided. PRELIMINARY PLAT - HILINE HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION Becky Hopkins made motion to recommend to the City Council for their approval the preliminary plat for Hiline Heights Subdivision subject to an easement off from Bedford and subject to an agreement for cash in lieu of park ground and all Land Use Ordinance requirements be met.
