November 21, 1989
Minutes of the special meeting of the Land Use and Development
Commission held in the city municipal building November 21,
1989.
Present: Chairwoman Sue Parrish, Commission Members: Jerry
Tydeman, Kent Kearns, Richard Pearson, Pete Anderson;
Engineer Steve Smart, Attorney Tom Holmes, City Council
Representative LeRoy Quick, Secretary Myrna Crapo.
Meeting called to order by Chairwoman Sue Parrish at 7:00 pm.
Chairwomen Sue Parrish read the October 5, 1989 minutes.
Attorney Tom Holmes explained what had taken place at the
City council meeting.
The commission discussed the motion on the Gary Ratliff public
hearing.
The commission members asked that a standard format be prepared
that could be used when making motions on conditional use
permits.
The commission decided to have a motion replayed on the recorder
prior to approval so they could see if it showed their
intent.
The motion was corrected to read Richard Pearson moved that we
grant this conditional use permit with the following
stipulation (1) A frontage fence face West Linden to
the end of the third building (approximately 116'). (2)
Attending curb, gutter and sidewalk with a covered (piped)
ditch to the end of the third building. (3) Future
development requirement will be the same treatment to the end
of the lot. (4) Trees and landscaping shall be in compliance
with the landscaping ordinance. Mr. Pearson recommended that
Mr. Ratliff get with the neighbors and have them participate
in defining what is an attractive fence.
Pete Anderson moved we accept
Kearns seconded the motion.
