Minutes of the regular meeting of the Land Use and Development Commission held in the City
Municipal Building July 1, 1999.
Present: Chairman Pete Anderson, Commission Members: Myma Cain, Dusty Whited, Gayle
Anderson, Nolan Briscoe; Council Representative, Kent Keams; Attorney Tom Holmes; City
Staff: Steve Smart, Sean Harris and Secretary Myma Crapo.
Chairman Anderson called the meeting to order at 8:00 PM.
Chairman Anderson asked for approval of the June 3, 1999 minutes. Myma Cain
moved to approve the minutes. Dusty Whited seconded the motion. All voted in favor.
Chairman Anderson asked if any commission member had a conflict of interest. There was
none.
PUBLIC HEARING:
1. A conditional use permit application by Ged Barnard, P.O. Box 2553, Pocatello
Idaho, to place a Manufactured home(Class II Home) at Lot 3, Block 2 the Meadows
Subdivision (517 Polder). The area is zoned R-2 Limited Residential.
Attorney Holmes explained that the first item was already taken care of with the passage
Tuesday of the Ordinance # 510 by the City Council.
Chairman Anderson then deleted this item.
2. An application by Gary Ratliff, P.O. Box 147, Pocatello, Idaho,
for a Preliminary Plat for Ratliff Subdivision. Property is located
at 306 E. Chubbuck (between Geraldines Bakery and the Railroad tracks.)
Attorney Holmes explained to the commission that the city was looking at an L.I.D. for
the area.
Chairman Anderson asked if a representative for Mr. Ratliff would like to address the
commission. Mr. Ratliffdeclined.
The meeting was opened for public comments for or against. There was none.
The meeting was brought back to the commission for discussion.
The commission discussed:
1. The reason for the preliminary plat.

Gayle Anderson moved to recommend to the city council approval of the application by
Gary Ratliff, P.O. Box 174, Pocatello, Idaho, for a Preliminary Plat for Ratliff
Subdivision. Property is located at 306 E. Chubbuck. Myma Cain Seconded. Roll call
vote: Myma Cain, yes; Nolan Briscoe, yes; Dusty Whited, yes; Gayle Anderson, yes; Pete
Anderson, yes.
Dusty Whited moved to adjourn at 8~
