HomeMy WebLinkAbout009 07 00LAND USE AND DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION September 7, 2000 Minutes of the regular meeting of the Land Use and Development Commission held in the City Municipal Building September 7, 2000 Present: Chairman Pete Anderson, Commission Members: Ray Rosin, Mary Harker, Nolan Briscoe, Gayle Anderson, Attorney Tom Holmes, Council Representative Kent Kearns, City Staff: Steve Smart; Secretary Myrna Crapo. Chairman Pete Anderson called the meeting to order at 8:00 PM. Chairman Pete Anderson asked for approval of the July 6, 2000 minutes. Mary Harker moved to approve the minutes of the July 6 meeting, Gayle Anderson seconded the motion. All voted in favor. Chairman Pete Anderson asked if any commission member had a conflict of interest. There was none. PUBLIC HEARING: 1. An application by C.L.C. Associates, Inc., 8480 E. Orchard Road Suite 2000, Englewood Colorado, 80111 for a Preliminary Plat for R & G Subdivision. Property is located south of Interstate 86 and East of Hawthorne Road adjacent to the Pine Ridge Mall. Property is zoned General Commercial (C-2). Steve Smart clarified the street easement next to the Pine Ridge Mall that the city would like to have. The staff would like to have that as a requirement on the plat. 2. The city may be able to put a water line through the north side of the property. We would like to exact an easement from R & G to overlay the sewer force easement for our water line easement. Mr. Smart advised the commission that the City of Pocatello is constructing a sewer force main out to the sewer plant and have obtained an easement from Knudsen. The commission discussed 1. Having the trucks coming off of Hawthorne Road. 2. The ring road would be ideal for the trucks to use. 3. The developer is going to construct a 50' road 4. We need up to a 50' dedication for a road off of Hawthorne. Land Use and Development September 7, 2000 Page 2 Bryce Jolley Harper-Leavitt Engineering represented C. L.C. Associated, they are willing to work toward an access. There will be a dedication of 40' off of Hawthorne. They will hook up to city sewer and water. They want to pipe the canal if they can get approval. The public hearing was opened up for public comment, seeing none the public hearing was closed and brought back to the commission. Nolan Briscoe moved to recommend to the council approval of the preliminary plat of C.L.C. Associated for the R & G Subdivisions with the conditions of a dedication up to 50' for a road on the south. Gayle Anderson seconded. Roll call vote Ray Rose, yes; Pete Anderson, yes; Mary Harker, yes; Nolan Briscoe, yes; Gayle Anderson, yes.
