Minutes of the special meeting of the Land Use and Development Commission held in the City
Municipal Building November 1,2001.
Present: Chairman Pete Anderson; Commission Members: Mary Harker, Myrna Cain, Nolan
Briscoe, Gayle Anderson, and Dusty Whited; Attorney Tom Holmes; City Staff: Steve Smart,
and Larry Kohntopp; Secretary Myrna Crapo.
Pete Anderson called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.
The commission discussed "our valley - Our Vision" and the changes that need to be made.
Page 1-3= Store front shops needs to be deleted. Chubbuck along Yellowstone Avenue and East
and west Chubbuck Road to create a new down town area.
Page 6-2. 1.2 b. Move to objective 1.4. b. and move the others down.
Page 6.3 object 2.2 b delete "with special emphasis and depth at the Chubbuck Road Intersection"
and "a heavily" and "separating pedestrians from vehicular traffic". Change minimum planting
strip to 10 feet.
Same page goal 3.2 Policy: Need to take a look at the 1995 strategies and use instead "new
neighborhood"
Policy: needs to be compared with the current design principles:
7.2 Palisades reservoir paragraph needs to be stricken
page 7-3 financing. The memorandum can't be located, we need to get one. We need to call
Shapiro and associated on impact fees.
"Future growth" should be deleted to a "new interceptor system".
Page 7-6.
G. Implementation strategy paragraph needs to be deleted.
J. should be deleted "treatment facilities for Palisades Reservoir water".
9.4 f. Leave as is
10.1 regional planning

Need to check to see if they are net or gross acres streets included.
10.2 objective 1.3 Need to check on this
Page 13-2 objective 1.2 c. Need to add "in new development".

C. Object 1.3 c: delete "as possibilities the following" and add "future".
Delete the list of school areas.
We need to make the change on the comprehensive plan m to include Knudson property in the
