Minutes of the Land Use and Development Commission regular meeting held at Chubbuck City
Hall, 5160 Yellowstone, March 4, 2008.
Present: Chairman Pete Anderson; Commission Members: Jason Mendenhall, James Eborn,
Michelle Christy, Ron Horner, Morris Kinghorn, Shawna Elzner, DeLoy Stuart; City Staff: City
Staff: Steve Smart and Larry Kohntopp; Secretary Myrna Crapo.
Chairman Anderson asked if anyone had a conflict of interest of any of the items on the agenda.
There were none.
Chairman Anderson asked for approval of the minutes of the November 8, 2008. Jason
Mendenhall moved to approve the minutes with DeLoy Stuart seconding; all voted in favor.
PUBLIC HEARING:
1. An application by Gate City Veterinary Associates, Alpine Animal Hospital, 4000
Yellowstone Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho for a preliminary plat. Located at the corner of
Burley Drive and East Linden. Avenue.
• Matt Dredge, 645 Alpine, explained that they wanted to build an animal clinic. Two
existing houses and a pasture there determined the odd shape of their land.
The meeting. was opened for public comment for and against. There was none, so the
public hearing was closed and brought back to the commission.
Morris Kinghorn moved to recommend to the city council approval of the preliminary
plat as it has been presented. Ron Horner seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Deloy
Stuart, yes; James Eborn, yes; Jason Mendenhall, yes; Shawna Elzner, yes; Michelle
Christy, yes; Ron Horner, yes; Pete Anderson, yes. All voted in favor.
Jason Mendenhall moved to adjourn at 7:15 PM with Ron Horner seconding. All voted in favor.
