Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Steven M. England,
David A. Landon, W. Dean Wood and City Clerk Ron C. Con]in.
Council member Leroy S. Quick, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes
Public Works Director was excused.
Meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF MEETING is to discuss with Bessie Wright, Kimberly
Nursery a proposed book on the History of the City of
Chubbuck.
Mrs. Wright is an Idaho author, she writes historical stories
about communities, and would propose writing a book on the
History of Chubbuck.
Mrs. Wright gave a report on herself, and Kimberly Nursery.
Mrs. Wright said the book would probably have to sell for
approx. $45.00 a book.
Councilman England suggested an article be put in the "Spring
Letter to Residents", asking Chubbuck residents if there is
interest in a History of Chubbuck book at $45.00 per book.
Mayor Cotant said after talking to Attorney Holmes, he felt
the City could not put monies up front.
It was suggested donations from businesses, residents, etc.
might take care of some of the costs.
After discussion, it was decided we will get input from
businesses, residents, etc. before pursuing.
At 5:00 p.m.,

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor
of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal Building,
5160 Yellowstone Avenue, at the hour of 5:00 p.m., on the 19th. day
of March, 1991. The object of the special meeting is to discuss
with Bessie Wride, Kimberly Nurseries a book on the City of
Chubbuck.
