Minutes of a special meeting held at the city municipal building,

Present: Mayor John Cotant, Council Members: Dave Landon, St%yen
England~ Boy Quick, and Dean Wood, Attorney Tom Holmes, Public
Works Director Steve Smart. ~

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 Pb~ by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF MEETING is discussion of the Comprehensive Plan with
council Members and Land Use and Development Commission.
Goal
5. Commercial Goals:
i. Discourage commercial sprawl.
2. Encourage qualit3~ Commercial
3. Development that is non disruptive.
4. Provide adequate suitable zones for commercial development.
5. Minimize conflicts between existing residential uses in
commercial transition zones.
Goal 6. Highest and best use
Encourage full and prodnctive use of land in the developed

Develop a consistent methodolog~ by which changes t? the
comprehensive plan are considered.
We need to study carefully any changes and take them on an
individual basis. The developer would bear the cost of the
professional assessment.
Goal
8. Industrial uses:
Attempt to encourage development of light industrial land uses
which will ~enerate additional jobs, but will not create an
adverse impact upon adjacent areas.
Support heavy industrial uses in the city impact area as
defined geographically

Develop in-fill in residential

The meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM. The next joint meeting will be
Tuesday March 10 at 6:30 PM and then Thursday March 12 at 6:30 PM.

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor
of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal Building, at
the hour of 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, the 5th. day of March, 1992.
The object of the special meeting is to discuss Comprehensive Plan
with Land Use & Development Commission.
