COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
January 27, 1998
Minutes of a special meeting held at the city municipal building on, January 27, 1998.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Leroy S. Quick, Marvin C. Gunter, W. Dean
Wood, Public Works Director Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Ron C. Conlin. Council
member Steven M. England and Attorney Thomas J. Holmes were excused.
Meeting was called to order at 6:45 p.m.
PURPOSE OF SPECIAL MEETING is discuss recommendations on the area City of Chubbuck
Comprehensive Plan along with BPO Long Range Transportation Policies.
Kent Kearns, Myrna Cain and Dusty Whited from Land Use and Development Commission were
present.
Bannock Planning Organization Representatives Kathleen Lacey and Mori Byington were
present to explain BPO is currently updating their Long Range Transportation Plan.. BPO
is requesting help from the City Council and Land Use Development Commission with
both these projects.
Mr. Byington explained BPO updates the LRTP every three years. This plan provides direction
for future transportation improvements and development. Chubbuck's Comprehensive
Plan and BPO's LRTP should work together to accomplish common goals. To ensure
that both plans complement each other, we want you to: 1) Comment on the draft goals
presented, and 2) Select goals from your plan, with which every transportation project
should be consistent.
Council received a copy ofBPO's LRTP draft goals. Council and Land Use & Development
Commission was asked to read and prepare comments on how these goals influence the
comprehensive plan.
At 7:20 p.m., Councilman Quick moved, Councilman Wood seconded, with full council
approval to adjourn meeting.

CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor of the City of Chubbuck,
Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal
Building, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, the 27t~. day of January, 1998. The object of the
special meeting is to discuss recommendations on the area o£ City Impact. Land Use and
Development Commission Members and Bannock Planning Organization Representatives will
be present.

Pursuant to the call set forth above, notice is hereby given of a special meeting of the
Chubbuek City Council at the time and place, and for the object, recited in the call.
