COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
January 20, 1998
Minutes of a Special Meeting held at city municipal building, January 20, 1998.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Leroy S. Quick, Steven M. England, W. Dean
Wood, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes, Public Works Director Steven M. Smart and City
Clerk Ron C. Conlin. Councilman Marvin C. Gunter was excused. ~
Meeting was called to order at 7:50 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF SPECIAL MEETING is to conduct a Public Auction for described real property
owned by the City and located at 5200 Yellowstone Ave.
PUBLIC AUCTION - The Mayor and Council of the City of Chubbuck have authorized by
Ordinance the sale of the following described real property owned by the City and
located at 520 Yellowstone Ave:
Lot 14 excepting the west 382 feet thereof, Block 1, Diamond Court Subdivision to
Bannock County, Idaho, according to the official plat thereof on file in the Bannock
County Records.
The value of said property has been appraised at $63,650.00. The property will be sold at
public auction for cash or terms to the highest bidder during a regular meeting. Howqver,
no opening bid for cash or principal less than the appraised value will be accepted, thb
City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Mayor Cotant declared the Public Auction open, asking for bids.
There being no one to bid at the meeting, Mayor Cotant declared the Public Auction
closed.
Councilman England moved to authorize Mayor Cotant to negotiate for the sale of the
property. Councilman Quick seconded. All council members present voted in favor of
motion.
At 8:00

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
--- CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor Of the City of Chubbuck,
Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal
Building, at the hour of 7:45 p.m., on Tuesday, the 20th. Day of January, 1998. The object of the
special meeting is to conduct a public auction for the west 382.5 feet of Lot 14, Block 1,
Diamond Court Subdivision.

Pursuant to the call set forth above, notice is hereby given of a special meeting of the
Chubbuck City Council at the time and place, and for the object, recited in the call.
