Minutes of a Special Meeting held at city municipal building,
August 16, 1994.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Leroy S. Quick,
Steven M. England, W. Dean Wood, Marvin C. Gunter, Public
Works Director Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Ron C. Coniin.
Attorney Thomas J. Holmes was excused,
Meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE of meeting shall be to discuss the 1994-95 Fiscal Year
Budget.
1994-95 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET DISCUSSION - City Clerk Ron Conlin
presented balanced 1994-95 Tentative Budget approved at last
Council Meeting, stating the 1994-95 Fiscal Year Proposed
Budget~ Truth in Taxation Notice and "Notlce of Fee Increase"
was publish as presented at the August 9, 1994 Council
Meeting. The public hearing was set for Aug~st 23, 1994, at
7:30 p.m.
Councilman Wood suggested some of the improvements requested,
might come from tax increment monies collected next year.
City Clerk Conlln stated, that might be a way, if the project
is within the tax Increment boundaries.
Councilman England suggested maybe some capital improvement
expenditures be put off for a year, and putting the mort%es
to the implementation of the dispatch.
FWD Smart stated the only project in Highway, Streets
Roads Projects in the tax increment program that be a
little help, is the 1-86 Landscaping Project.

Chief of Police Rowland said the dispatch will cost approx.
$55,000. less next year.
Discussion about Fed/State Highway, Streets and Roads
Projects proposed in 1994-95 Fiscal Year Budget.
Fire Chief Campbell gave a report on a follow up letter to his
telephone conversation with Lance Traughber, North Bannock
County Fire Protection of last week. The Chubbuck Fire
Department is in need of a one-third fee increase for flre
protection service for North Bannock County Fire District.
Discussion about pros and cons of dropping North Bannock
County Fire District, if they are not willing to pay their
share.

Council directed FC Campbell to get with Attorney Holmes, then
send North Bannock County an invoice stating amount they owe
this year, if Bannock County Fire District does not want to
pay, City of Chubbuck will not protect the district.
Discussion about Highway, Streets and Road revenues and
expenditures. There are approx. $200,000. in projects in this
budget.
At
PWD Smart gave report on water Fate increases.
6:20 p.m., Councilman Wood moved, Councilman Quick seconded,
with full council approval to adjourn meeting.

of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calla a speclai meeting of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal Bulidlng, at
the hour of 5:a0 p.m., on Tuesday, the 16th. day of August~ ].994.
The object of the speclai meeting shall be for Council Members to
