Meeting was tailed to order at 5:49 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.

LANDSCAPING OeDiN.SNCE - Amending Chapter ~.~.i4 to clarify tbs
amount of a landscaped area that may be in non grass or ground
cover
Mayer Cotant stated he is not in favor of decorative rock,
gravel and cinders being the dominated ~aDdmcapJ~ng~
Mayor Cotsnt suggested requiring a sprinkler irrigation
syRtem rather than alternative of a hydrant within f~.fty
of the plant material.

Kent Kearns said the Land Use and Development Commission
members did not ~ant to see the ord~.nance toe restFintive~ but
did not want Yellowstone Ave. to }ook as it has in the past.
Mr. Kearns stated the ~e~Jgn Review Committee can control the
individual problems as presented.
Mayor Cotant R~ggested the ordinance be t!ghtened .;p, ~.f
shrubs are allowed, there should be more shrubs required.

Councilman Wood expressed concern about businesses like Common
Cents, Petrols, etc. being required to m~et 1. end-taping
requirements when, and if they sell. Councilman Wood suggested
the City be flexible on Iand~cap%ng ueql!lrementn.
Mayor Cotant stated the City should have lots of trees
throughout the City, so long as they meet the site triangl_~
requirements.

Mayor Cotant directed the Land Use and Development Commission
Member~ to meet, and dlscu~s the landscaping ordinance at Land
Use and Development Commission Meeting.
Colonel!man Wood felt the ]and~caplng req~{rement can be to

Pursuant to idaho Code Section 50-6~4, the undersigned Mayor
of the City of Chubb~ck, Idaho~ hereby calls a special meeting of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal Building, at
the hour of 5:3~ p.m., on Tuesday~ the 9nd. day of At~gust, 1994.
The ob3ect of the special meeting shall b~ for Council Members to
