Minutes of a special meeting of the Mayor and Ootmoil to canvas the votes of the
Special Municipal Bend Election held J~y 13, 1971~ this special meeting being held
July 14, 1971.
Present: Mayor Cotan~ CounciDaen Leslie, Romriell and Taylor, also clerk Vera Armstrong
Meeting called to order 8:50
Ballot box was unlocked and the ballots, poll book, and tally book removed. The
sealed envelope was opened and the other tally book, poll book, absentee applications
with envelopes, electors oaths~ spoiled ballots and used ballot pads with the first
nu~bered unused official ballot were removed. The poll books were checked~ the tally
books were counted and checked. The count was correct as entered in the official return
in both tally books. The tabulation of the votes were as follows:
GEh~RAL OBLIGATION WAT~ BO~$: 283 votes in favor, 21g votes against
G~AL OBLIGATION S~,~R BO~: 276 Votes in favor, 226 votes against.
JOINT WAT~. & S~EE PJ~VE~JE BOND: 278 votes in favor, 228 votes against.
Mayor and all three counsil members present proclaimed the results as correct and final.
Meeting recessed at 9:30 P.M. ur~til further notice if necessary.
