Meeting called to order 8:08 P.M. present: Mayor Cotant, Council~nen P~omriell, Taylor and Thompson, attorney Wise TRAILER REQUEST - Garland Henry, Handy Service, stated he is in partnership with hie father at Handy Service and he has moved a trailer on their lot and understands the city wants him to move it. Mayor explained he would need to submit a request to place his trailer on lot together with a plsn showing where trailer is to be placed~ this is to be wresented to the city zoning commmssion. LINDEN ST. COMPLAIh? - Mrs. ~alter Harrison, E. Linden complained of condition of their street and would like it kept open, also wanted to know what the co~ucil meant when they say the street is not accepted. Councilman Romriell explained in new sub-divisions the streets need to conform to regulation. Mrs. Harrison stated Linden is an original street when they were in the county and she felt the street definitely had been accepted when the city was incorporated. Attorney Wise is to find out what he can on this matter. AUDIT ~qoORT - Dale D. Jones, city auditor gave the 1970 audit report. Councilman Romriell made mation to accept audit, Thompson seconded, all i~ favor. Dale Jones also reported on how he had checked payments in ~^ater book and cash receipts journal for four months of 1970. A deficit of 78.00 for October and 95.00 for January~ 1970 showed up. However, he added, these items in cash receipts journal, if paid by cash in a sense cannot really be proved, and if tried would De with tremendous cost. Council and Mayor were all in favor not-pursue matter any further. POLICE DEPT. - Discussion was had as to hiring a 3rd man as an officer. Several questions of general nature were asked of Police Chief Frasure by council members. Mayor reoon~nended the council approve hiring a 3rd officer. Councilman Taylor made motion a 3rd officer be hired~ Romriell seconded and it passed unanimously. DRAIN DITCH - Dwain Kinghorn stated the drain ditch across Hiway Ave. is still full of dirt. Councilman Thompson felt the council should do what they can to alleviate situation. Councilman komriell suggested the city clean the road pipe and contact Ft. Hall for further action. DISAN~EXATiON - of several areas discussed. Majority of council and zoning co~mission in favor of not dis-annexing any property from the city limits. Jack ~enard suggested the city annex the small piece of property across the interstate owned by Humble Oil Co. SUB-DIVISION OP~INANCE - Ordinance discussed. Read once in full and twice by title. ~otion to adopt the Sub-Division Ordinance ~97 together with City Standard specifications for streets made by Councilman Romriell~ seconded by Thomoson and it passed unanimously. Roll call vote: Romriell, yes; Taylor, yes; Thompson] yes. EAS~I~f - City Attorney Wise to check with ~ttorney McDevitt to gather what information~ agreements~ etc. he has on the water easement through the Stuart Addition. TRAILE~ COURT REQUEST - A verbal request presented by Councilman Romriell in behalf of John R. Valenty to develop a trailer park off Yalenty Rd. ~d Chubbuck Rd. Clerk is to write letter informing Mr. Valenty he must conform to requirements of submitting a plat to the zoning concision, also a request for de~eloping a trailer park.in this area.
