Present: Mayor Cotant, Councilmen Leslie, Romriell, Taylor and Thompson. R. B. Bistline, Max parrish and Kent Parrish present to request license for trailer park for property off Hiline and Chubbuck Rd. Long discussion followed as to lot sizes, street widths, etc.. Approval was not granted. Del Peters, Zoning commission chair~n was present to answer questions on zoning recomendatiens. F~L BIDS - Bids for gasoline and diesel fuel were opened from Texaco Inc., Triangle Service, American Oil Company, Continental Oil Company and Standard Oil Company. Councilman Thompson made motion to accept the bid from Standard Oil Co., RomrieLl seconded, all in favor. Financial statement presented to Mayor and Council. Bills presented to council for payment. Councilman Romriell made motion to pay bills, Taylor seconded, all in favor. Discussion on allowing John Valenty to place a mobile home on property on Valenty Rd. for his daughter to live in while her husband is in service was entered into before meeting was called to order. Councilmen Romriell and Taylor were in agreement for a one year permit to be issued him. CouncilmenThompson and Leslie were not present for an opinion when discussed. Meeting recessed until further notice if necessary. Minutes of the recessed meeting of Mayl3, 1971 held in the City Municipal Building Thursday, M~y 20, 1971 Called to order: 7:35 P.M. Present: Mayor Cotant, Councilmen Leslie, Romriell, Taylor and Thompson Councilman Leslie introduced and moved the adoption of an ordinande entitled: "An ordinance relating to the joint water and sewer system of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho; providing for a special election at which there shall be submitted to the electors qualified to vote thereon the questions of issuing general obligation water and sewer bonds and of issuing joint water and sewer revenue bonds of the City for the purpose of defraying in part the cost of constructing a sewerage system and improving, extend- ing and bettering the present municipal water system; prescribing detai~s in connection therewith; ratifying action previously taken concerning said joint water aud sewer system and said bonds; and providing the effective date hereof." The motion was made by Councilman Thompson and seconded by Councilman Eomriell that the rules requiring ordinances of a general and permanent nature to be fully and distinctly read on three different days be dispensed with and that said ordinance be read in full and at length and placed upon its final passage. Thereupon, the clerk was ordered to call the roll on said motion and the roll call upon said motion was as follows: Leslie, yea; Romriell, yea; Taylor: yea; Thompson, yea. The Mayo~ therenpon declared that the motion, having been duly passed by not less than one-half plus one of the members of the full council, had been duly carried. The ordinance was then read in full and at length. l?l Councilman Taylor seconded the motion for the adoption of said ordinance, The clerk was then instructed to call the roll on the passage of the ordinance and the roll cs_Il on said passage of said ordinance resulted ~s follows: Leslie, yea; Romriell, yea; Taylor, yea; Thompson, yea. The ordinance was thereupon, by the May~, declared to have been duly passed. It was moved by Councilman Taylor and seconded by Councilman Thompson that the Clerk of the City be ordered to publish said ordinance in full immediately and in at least one issue of the Idaho State Journal, the official newspaper of the City. Thereupon, the Clerk was ordered to call the roll on said motion and the roll call upon said motion was as follows: Leslie, yea; Romriell, yea,' Taylor, yea; Thompson, yea. The Mayor thereupon declared that the motion was duly carried. OTHER BUSINESS MOBILE HOM~ESTATE - A~letter of application requesting a license for a Mobile Home Trailer Park was read in full by Mayor Cotant. A discussion of pros and cons of issuing license followed. Majority of Council were not in favor of issuing license for the trailer park request and were in agreement not to give approval at this time. ANNEXATION OF DELL ACRES - Councilman Thompson suggested annexing this area in the near future. DRAINAGE POND ON BURLEY - Mayor reported he had met with Mr. Grunerud and looked over the area and the State will, if responsibility falls to them, h~p clean up area to relieve area of danger, nuisance and health hazard. STREET SIGN - Letter from Carl F. Worth read requesting a street marker on Ronald Rd. which is a short street off Quinn Rd. Council were in agreement that the city should put up a street sign and grade street.
