HomeMy WebLinkAbout08 11 1970 CMMinutes of the regular meeting of the Mayor and Council. of the City of Chubbuck held in the City Office of the City of Chubbuck on August 11, 1970. Present - Cotant, Leslie, Taylor and Thompson. Absent - Romriell. Called to order 8:10 P.M. Trailer House - L. J. Livingston requested a permit to put a Trailer House en his property at 138 Briscoe Lane. Long discussion followed. Taylor suggested that the Council look over the area before giving an answer. Livingston stated that Briscoe Lane needs a clean-up campaign as there are junk cars and weeds all down the street. Derbridge stated that we need zoning before this problem can be solved entirely. We need to re-read our Sanitation Ordinan~e~,.s~e just what we can do. In regards to the Trailer House the Council decisio~.a~'{~?to the residents in the area and see what they think about a Trailer House parked on private property. Dell Acres Culdesac - Attorney is to write up a ~[esolution granting permission to delete th~ Cuidesac from the Original Plat. Water Rates - Emilio Esquibel protested the flat rate for one resident and a meter for another resident. A long discussion on water rates followed. Welcome Sign - Leslie stated that he is in favor of a Welcome Sign coming into Chubbuck. It s~uld be located north of the Interstate on Yellowstone Ave. Ail were in agreement with this idea. Park - Cotant reported the Park is looking much better now. The weeds have been burned on the ditch bank, the back stops and benches have all been painted. Sewer Project - Leslie reported that he and McDevitt have discussed this with Ballif, and Ballif is now updating our application for a Gr~nt. Discussion on Sewer followed, Motion to pay the bills made by Thompson, seconded by Taylor. Ail in favor. Meeting recessed at 10:00 P.M. till further notice if necessary. City Clerk ~ ---~
