Called t~ order 8:05 P.M. Minute, s of the la'st regular and one recessed meeting then ~p?ro,~'~d. b/ater ~'-ates- Several residents fro~:': Tahoe Place were p~esent ,~d protested the :-rater rates, especially the meter rates. Thompson explained to these ~:eoDle the condi- tions of the water system at this t~e, the problems of the ~ater system knd the possible changes in the water rates that we are working on now. If we d.o :~et an in- creas~ in power rates to our pmmps this will ~ave to be considered in the~-'new rates. Greener Pastures-Dale Sisson complained that the roads need grading and the weeds need mowing. After a long discussion it was decided to grade the road for now and check to see whose responsibility it is to take care of the weeds. Stuart Trailer Park- Arnold Stuart ~res~n~c~~ * ~ a Plat Plan for the second yart of his Trailer Park. Plat was studied by P~yor ~d Co,oil. ~,lotion to approve the Plat was mad~ by Thompson, seconded by Hi~. Motion will not be a~proved mntil the Ease- ment for the water line do~ J~es Street is signed by Stuart. During the discussion that followed it was brought out that ther~ is no Street wher~ the ,~ter line joins Luc~ Ave. This consists of approx~ate}y ~20 feet of line. The Co,oil thought there was to be a street there and this is to be checked out with L H Ballif. Hensley Reports- Hensley then reported on the arrest of Donelson and the S~{nnadore accident. He explained both of these incidents. He has all the records in his possessic New ~'~yor and Co~ciLv, en- Mayor-elect John 0 Cotmnt Jr, CounciLz, en-elect ?~ De~is Leslie ~,d Earl Nomri~ll then introduced themselves to th~ present Mayor ~,d Co,oil ~d to the people in the audience. Street Dept.- ]viayor Her~y suggeste~ that we use what money is left in the Street Dept. budget and Penta Prime and chip all gravelled streets in the City. He is to get a bid for this work from the Cour~ty and the City of Pocatello. Sewer System- Hillman explained thm 25¢ State Aid for this project and suggested ~hat they talk to the Representatives mud Senators from this area and see if they can get this in the Legislature for the upcoming year. Jenks Palmer from Lalad is the man to talk to on this matter. Pedistrian Crossings- Motion was made by Buchanan that Pedistrian Crosswalk signs be painted on all four sides of the intersection of Yello:¢tone and Chubbuck f(oad. Z4otion seconded by Thompson. Ail in favor. City Office Building Stent,, Entrance- ~ ~ · ~ ~uc,.anmn sta~ed that ?[,0.00 ms the lowest bid he could get for this.
