spraying was done in the borrow-pit in front of Smith's and part on private property

Comsany does feel the City is liatle for ail o~ the Calim. Hensley then
that the smme spray was used at the Fire Station and at the Park and there '~s no
d~age at ~ith~r place. Buchanan then asked why the Insurance Company only got one
bid for d~ages. Higgins ~xplained that this partic~ar field of ex~erts is limited
in this area. Thom=son th~n suggested that we table this matter for the time being
so we can discuss it further. All agreed with this suggestion. McDevitt is to check
~d s e~ what can be worked cut.
Sewer Project- Max Yarrish ao.,vd~= if this service will increase the valuation of the
property in Ch~bbuck, what about the water rates, and have the meters been checked
for accuar~y. It was explained to hLr. that water ~eters are only used in cases of
abuse, request and all new homes. A lon~ discussion follcwed, but no decision was
reached. ',fie will wait to see Focatello'~ revision of their water rates before we take
any action on ours. McDevitt explained that an error can be adjusted if necessary
and the Council feels it is justified. Thompson tn~n' ~ stated that we need to study this
further. Table it for now and find our answer later. City has to make some money on the
water dept., as we cannot continue to ocerate at a loss. The charge of $~.]0 for
excessive use of water is to be carried on the City Eooks until a dete~ination is
made.
Compa!int- A complaint of the sign at Phil'so~un~ry^ ~.~crner" blocking view for traffic
was read by 5~yor Henr3r. Hensley said this is Crivate ~roperty and the City can do
nothing about it. ' ;
Resolution on the Election, setting the Polling Place and nmming the Judze mud Clerks
was then read in full by McDevitt. Roll Call Vote for ~assage of Resolution as
follows: Thompson-yes, Taylor-yes, and TM ~
