All agreed with this suggestion. McDevitt is to check ~d s e~ what can be worked cut. Sewer Project- Max Yarrish ao.,vd~= if this service will increase the valuation of the property in Ch~bbuck, what about the water rates, and have the meters been checked for accuar~y. It was explained to hLr. that water ~eters are only used in cases of abuse, request and all new homes. A lon~ discussion follcwed, but no decision was reached. ',fie will wait to see Focatello'~ revision of their water rates before we take any action on ours. McDevitt explained that an error can be adjusted if necessary and the Council feels it is justified. Thompson tn~n' ~ stated that we need to study this further. Table it for now and find our answer later. City has to make some money on the water dept., as we cannot continue to ocerate at a loss. The charge of $~.]0 for excessive use of water is to be carried on the City Eooks until a dete~ination is made. Present- Henry, HilLman, Thompson, Buchanan. Absent- Taylor. Purpose - Canvass votes of Election of November ~m 19'69. Called to order 8:00 P.M. Ballot Boxes then unlocked and Tally Books canvassed by the ka.yor and Council. Ail books were found to be in order mhd the counts tallied. ~esults were as follows: Mayor- Leslie Henry - 20~, John 0 Cotant Jr - 239. CounciLman f~r 2 year term- ~ De~is Leslie - 223, Arnold R Stuart - 58, Tho:T~s i Ad,ns - ~05, and Wilbur T Chitwood - 6~. ~o ~ci~.en for g year terms - Earl L Romriell - 295, Wayne O Taylor - 5~g, R C (~b) HilLman - ~g~ and Velbert J~ckson - ~09.
