Durinz the discussion on the Budget it was suggested that there is a ~cssibility the mill le-~~ c~ be dror, ped by 3 mills this year. ' ~ Sewer Project- Report on the progress of the Sewer Project presented by Mayor Henr~y. We are too close to Pocatello to be helped by F H A. Only alternative is to join Bannock County Development & Planning Council. Lesgilature bills were discussed. Letter from Pocatello City l~anager regarding service conditions read. We carrot get any help from H U D unless we join the Bannock County Development & Plsmr~ing Council. It was then discussed as to whether we should join now or wait for awhile. M~yor Hen~ suggested that a ,~-esolution be trade to make application to join this Council. Decision was to wait for another month. ~'e S~ ,~ ,:oa~d have Leo Hanson come and explain to our Council the benefits of joining the organization. Regional Law Enforcement Planning- Discussion on benefits of joining this planning co~n~ission followed. Decision was that more uniform law would be the result. Resolution on Region I, II, & III Law Enforcement Planni~g Agency read by McDevitt. Motion made by Thompson that we adoot this resolution, seconded by Buchanan. All in favor. Building Inspection Forms- Council all agreed to use Application Form APEBC-~06$ as reco~nended by The Building Officials Conference of ~merica,Inc.. l'{e are to order some of these and have the Building insL. ector use them. Water Lines, Power Lines, Gas Lines, Underground Cables - %fe are to work up an Ordinance as to placing!~h~se lines at certain distances so we will know where they are for future~references. Opening of Bids for %'later Line Trench- Discussion before opening of bids was as to whether to accept bids not delivered to City Office. Objections had been raised and the decision was not to accept two lat~ bids, n~ely Koger & Campbell. Bids that were opened ~ere as follows- C . Cooper-.20¢ per foot, Mitchell Construction Co.-$~.07 ~er foot,-mnd Empire Construction Co. -.50¢~er foot Decision was to have Ballif infor~r, Cooper to put up his Perform~ce Bond, then we will get the Contract signed, and Coozer is t~ set his Permit heturn all unopened bids. Problen~- Buchanan suggested that t~e Council spend ~5 minutes or more if necessamy to discuss personell problems. Ail agreed to practice this starting with the next meeting. Curfew Ordinance- Council all agreed to have McDevitt amend Ordi~ance # the Curfew Ordinance, to be more in line with the Curfew Ordinance of Pocatello.
