Present- Henry, Hillman, Buchanan, Thom~son, Taylor and ~.~cDevitt Called to order 8:06 P.M. Minutes of the last regular meeting then read and approved as read. Trailer Park Water Bills- There was a long discussion on the new water rates The Council felt the Water Users should pay the increased water rate until suck time as meters are installed, then the bill would be adjusted to the meter reading. Buchanan stated that the flat rate should exist until the meter is ~aid for. Final decision was for Users to pay the old rate of $~.00 per trailer plus their flat rate for hoo~-~P size until rates are straightened out. Idaho Power Co. Letter from Idaho ~ower refusing to pay repair bill on P~r~p No 1 read bu McDevitt. After discussion it was decided to pursue this matter further as Council still feels that Idaho Power was responsible for damage to this Pump ~otor. Allis-Ch~lmer Front Loader- ~layor Henry asked the Co~ancil m~ they had any objections to selling this on a payment basis. Payment would be made in two years. Ail agreed to the sale unaer these terms and approved delivering it on the City Truck. ~o~ncml all agreed that th~s should be published in the Police Court heport- Mayor and ~ ' paper once a month. Requests for meters- Tabled for now ~t~ Ordinance ~ 78 is revised. Bannock County Development Program- wants Chubbuck to join the ~nization and participate in the meetings, planning and cost. ~ ~ '~ ~ .~ou~cm~ decided to wait a little longer and get more information on the program befoz.~ jollying. Sewer- Discussed in length by ~uion Tueller of State Health Department. He stated it is needed in Chubbuck in the very near future. Main problem is funding of the project. The longer we ~ait the ~;~ore difficult it is going to be. 'We need a balanced report on just what we need before further action can be taken. Ballif ~s to have this report by the next meeting, City Office Building- Thompson feels that the Quonset is not the place for it. Plans for something were then discussed. Question was asked could, we have a Bond Issue on it and do it right, and could this bond issue and also Sewer bond issue be held at the next regular General Municipal Election in November, 1,~, so all the people have a chance to vote on it. Opinion of ~dcDevitt vzas that this could be arranged. ~nending Water Ordinance ~ 7~- i~otion bs~ Thc;~u.son to amend Sections 3-1-32 Ind 3-1-33 of Ordinance # 78 to set water rates for metersd water as notes on Attorney's copy show was then made. ~.iotion seconded by Buchanan. Ail in favor. ~icDevitt is to revise these sections. Motiof~ to approve yayment of the bills as yresented to Council made by Buchanan, seconded by Hillman. Ail in favor.
