the City of Chubbuck, held in the municioal Building of the City of Chubbuck on
January 23, ~968 ~
Present- Twiggs, Hillman, Henry, Thompson, Buchanan and McDevitt.
Called to. order 8:10 P.M.
Purpose-Work on Budget an4 other City Business.
Street Sign~- Hensley and HilLman are to check the City and see where street signs
are needed. They will have them made and install them as soon as frost is out of
ground.
Greener Pastures Addition- County did not promise to pay for isprovements for this
addition. County only promised to help set up L I D for them if they so desired.
They are to pay for their own fire hydrants. City will install them if the budget
will allow it, and also install a street light at entrance to subdivision if
budget will allow it.
Complaints- All members agreed that soecial requests or complaints should be given
to Clerk so she can put them in writing and present them to full Council, rather
than for the people to go to individual Council memberw and expect an immediate reply.
Well No 3 Property- Taxes of 378.79 are due against this property as of February 1,
1968. Fort H~ll Irrigation Co. also has a bill against this orooerty. This is to
be checked out and if City Days the bill, it will be deducted~' frgm next nayment
on the Well.
Greener Pastures Services- All agreed that we can extend only normal functions of
the City to them. We have Ordinances and we have to live uo to the Ordinances.
They are to be invited to the Regular Council Meeting and the Council can let them
know the answer to their many questions.
Sanitation- Hillman suggested and all agreed that the Garbage Pick-up for Chubbuck
should be put up for bids.
Magleby Bill- Still owes City 691.20 for oipe already in the ground. Brennan said
he would talk to Magleby about this bill.~It is past due.
Country Acres Addition- McDevitt explained in detail the City's position and rights
on annexation of the entire 160 acres. This is a legal matter and the Attorney's
will ~ave to straighten it out. Council instructed McDevitt to contact thmir
Attorney on this matter.
Budget- Detailed copy of Budget is attached herewith to these minutes.
Meeting recessed at 11:~5 P.M. till further notice if necessary.
