Subject: Donation of Fire Gear to PV -TECH
Mayor and Council,
I am requesting Council approval to donate 32 sets of Chubbuck Fire Department structural turnout gear and 32
sets of wildland gear to PV -TEC for use by students in their training program.
The structural turnout gear has reached the end of its l0 -year service life for our department. Rather than
disposing of equipment that can still serve a useful training purpose, I would like to donate this gear, along with
the 32 sets of wildland gear which has also reached the end of its life, to PV -TEC so their students can use it for
hands-on training and education.
This donation would allow us to support PV -TEC and the local school district at no cost, while putting
equipment that would otherwise be discarded to productive use.
I respectfully request Council approval to donate the 32 sets of retired structural turnout gear and 32 sets of
wildland gear to PV -TEC for training purposes only.
