WHEREAS, Chubbuck, Idaho is a community which acknowledges that a special vibrancy exists
when its citizens collectively "go the extra mile" in personal effort, volunteerism, and service; and
WHEREAS, Chubbuck, Idaho is a community which encourages its citizens to contribute fully to
the community through commitment, effort, and conviction in service to family, friends, neighbors
and civic life; and
WHEREAS, Chubbuck, Idaho is a community which chooses to recognize and celebrate
individuals and organizations within our community who "go the extra mile" to make a difference
in the lives of others; and
WHEREAS, Chubbuck, Idaho, acknowledges the mission of Extra Mile America to inspire
communities across the nation to recognize those who go the extra mile in volunteerism and
service;
NOW THEREFORE, I, Rodney T. Burch, Mayor of the City of Chubbuck, do hereby proclaim
November 1, 2026, to be
Extra Mile Day
In the City of Chubbuck and encourage all residents to take time on this day to "go the extra mile"
in their own lives and to recognize those who inspire others through their commitment to making
our community, nation, and world a better place.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I hereby set my hand
and caused the seal of the City of Chubbuck, to
be affixed this 21 st day of October, in the year
two thousand and twenty-six.
