Board of Trustees of the Village of Chubbuck, held in the Municipal
building of the Village of Chubbuck, on January 21, 1960.
Present- Davis, Hillman, Ward, and McDevttt.
Absent- Frasure and Mitchell, excused for work.
Called to order 1:30 P.M.
Purpose - Discuss possibility of Chubbuck furnishing water to
the County Fair Grounds.
After a discussion it was estimated that for Chubbuck to deliver
wa2er to the County Fair Grounds, we would need approximately
1,400 feet of 8 inch main line to get the water to the North West
corner of the Fair Grounds, plus the digging, laying pipe, meter,valves
some pipe fittings, and back fill, for a possible total price of
$5,761.09. Based on the total cost figure of 5,761.09 a motion w as
made to authorize the Attorney to present the following facts to
the County Commissioners. The Village of Chubbuck will furnish water
to the County Fair Grounds for a flat rate of $166.00 per month
plus.06~ per 1000 gals of water used each month for 3 years, and
at the end of 3 years we will work out a water schedule with them,
but if they want a wa~er schedule now, we will give it to them now.
Motion was made by Ward, seconded by Hillman. All in favor.
If the county wants a water schedule now, it would be based on the
same schedule that Pocatello charges the Idaho State College.
The Board asked the Attorney to see if this work has to be
put out for a bid, before Chubbuck continues with any more work
on this project.
