The Street Department's pavement maintenance plan for 2026 consists primarily of milling and repaving
the road sections shown on the attached map. For this mill and pave project, bids were opened today
and the results are shown in the table below:

The City's estimate for this project was $947,400. The low bid appears to be responsive and meets the
requirements of the bid documents. It is my recommendation that the City Council approve the Mayor
to award the project and execute a contract with Suncore Construction & Materials, Inc. in the amount
of $676,402.00 for the 2026 Asphalt Mill and Pave Project.
Given that the bid came in below our estimate and budget, we intend to consider having some
additional road sections paved and micro surfaced this year. If that additional work will be a substantial
cost, we will request Council approval before proceeding.
