As Council reviews department level budget requests for the upcoming FY27 (12 months)
the City’s Strategic Priorities Focus Areas should serve as a common reference point. Tying
budget decisions back to these priorities helps make sure the City’s vision is realized in
department operational efforts. Keeping the priorities / budget connection in mind can
support clearer choices, better use of limited funds, and produce progress on the goals
that matter most to the community.
