Dear Mayor Burch and City Council Members,
On behalf of the Senior Activity Center, I extend our heartfelt appreciation for the ongoing support we
receive from the City of Chubbuck. The financial assistance you provide to the Senior Activity Center
plays a crucial role in serving the senior population in our great community.
Our mission is to provide resources, activities, and social engagement for older adults in the
Pocatello/Chubbuck and Bannock County area. We connect seniors to vital services that empower them
to age in place while supporting them to maintain their independence, well-being, dignity, and
participation in the community. We offer a wide variety of programs and services that meet the needs
and interests of a diverse range of retired people. We support seniors to stay safe, active, and healthy. At
the core of what we do is the Congregate Nutrition Program. This program provides individuals age 60
and older with improved nutrition, dietary variety, social connection, and greater food security. While
donations are encouraged, no qualifying individual is denied because of lack of ability to contribute.

We saw a 30% growth over the last year in qualifying meals served to those reporting they live in the
Chubbuck area. The number of qualifying, unduplicated individuals receiving a qualifying meal increased
by 31 people. These increases matter. We are asking for your continued support of $8,250 and an
increase of $3,000 to meet the current and ongoing demands to serve senior Chubbuck residents that
come to the Senior Activity Center for a nutritious meal and social connection.
We value our strong partnership and the continued efforts made by the City of Chubbuck to support the
mission of the Senior Activity Center.
