Re: Approval of Appointments to the Land Use and Development Commission
The Land Use and Development Commission (LUDC) comprises seven members, each
are appointed by the Mayor with the consent and approval by the City Council. The
LUDC also serves as the Impact Fee Advisory Committee (IFC). Statutes require that the
IFC include several members who are active in development, building, or real estate2.
To identify candidates for appointment to the LUDC announcements were posted on
social media and an application form was posted on the Chubbuck City website. This is
the same procedure used in the most recent recruitment for a committee appointment.
There are currently two open positions and six applications were received; each
individual had unique qualifications and points of view to consider. After review and
discussion, Darell Stewart and Brent Christophersen are presented to Council for
consent and approval.
A third position on the LUDC will become open in the near future. To fulfill the
obligations for membership of the Impact Fee Committee a candidate with
mortgages/real estate/development finance is being sought.

Stewart, in compliance to Resolution 12.2006, to a term on the Land Use and Development
Commission. Stewart term on seat 6 will expire May 31, 2030.
