Present-Hillman, Valenty, ~ard, Fen~dck, and Caldwell. Absent- Frasure. Meeting called to oraer 8:15 P.M. ~inutes oi' the last regular meeting and also the recessed meeting then read and approved as read. Bills for the month presented to Board. Motion to approve payment of bills made by Hillman, seconded by ~ard. All in favor. One exception-hold back bill for Bannock Electric till work is done, then make p~yment. Bills as follows:Richard Hall-70.15, Callls Caldwell-120.O0, Idaho Power-62.70 & 139.13, Phone Co.-17.9~, ~ard's Conoco-39.83, Bair's -1~.69, Idaho State Journal-8.10, Five Nile-5.55, Caxton Printers-2.77, Murr~ Press-23.30, Carl Hensley-133.h2, A.J.Brznnan-6.OO and John Pierce-29.O0. Financial and Police reports for month presented to Board. Old Business- Stuart Plat- stands as approved by Board. Hayfield Airport- Caldwell reports the case is ready for Court now. I*aho Bank & Trust Co.-request for Village checking accounts. Motion to authorize Cald~-ell to draw up papers to transfer General Fund Checking account from First Secu~rl~y Bank to Idaho Bank & Trust Co. made by ~ard, seconded by Fenwick. All in favor, Library Service- to be discussed at later meeting. Hpm~lton & Voeller Contract- Hamilton explained their position and said they would appoint a man from their office to make periodic inspections on the new well project. If the Village wants a man to watch all the time, the Village will have to ~aY him. Hensley says he can watch along ~ith his daily work. Village ~ill pay Hensley a fee for this. Hamilton ~ll back Hensley if he spots any trouble. Auditor- Jones has not set up a control book for water system yet. F.U.C.- Caldwell reports very little has been done yet. The Rate Engineer is due in rocatello,this week to discuss rates ~or municipalities. Ordinance for annexation- Proposed ordinance and boundaries were explained in full at t~e city map by Valenty and Board advised Caldwell to go ahea~ with Orainanceand Board ~ill act on it at recessed meeting on Ocyober 21, 1757. New Business- ~ater system. Phil York wants to sell Cast iron pipe i'or new system. Hamilton explained a possible project on mains- the labor cost ~ould be the same as for steel. ,Difl'erence in cost of pipe, 2,200 ft. from well to present line on Yellow- stone Hiway plus 2,622 ft. for extending lines would be about 1,500.00 more for Cast Iron pipe than for steel pipe. He advised the Board to take bids both '~ays and see the actual figures, Valenty asked the Board to be considering the location of additicnal lines after joining with the present system. Board will decide later on exact location after possible hook-ups are considered. Presemt mater System- A thorough check of the water system was made on September 28, 1957 by Valenty and Pierce, assistant water-master. A report on this check was given in full by Valenty and a copy of this report is herewith attached to these minutes and a duplicate is on file. Meeting recessed to 7:~O P.M.
