HomeMy WebLinkAboutVol. 8, Issue 2 Friends, What do you say at the end of a long winter? Goodbye, so long, glad to see you go. It seemed long and we had lots of snow. It has brought with it plenty of challenges. But it will also bring blessings. We need to count this as a great blessing because we have needed the water to fill the rivers and reservoirs for all of our water needs in the next year. We do enjoy our gardens and green grass, fishing, and water sports. As spring has now arrived the time for planning and planting has now arrived. Our concerted efforts of today will pay dividends for tomorrow. We see this demonstrated so well in planting, but the same rules take effect in all that we would like to achieve. We need to plan and work to receive the things that we would like in our lives. Spring cleaning is a tradition in most households. Soon we can open up, air out, and clean up. We often see this in our properties and belongings, but this is also a good time to take account of how we are doing in our lives and make things in our life as pleasant and good as they can be. There is a time to every purpose under heaven. We live in a very blessed area and many of those blessings come to us because of the great people that live here. As we face the challenges of life, we need to keep a positive attitude. I know many whose challenges would make it very easy for them to complain, but they do not. They not only do not complain but they stay positive and lift and bless all that they associate with. You visit them to cheer them up and you leave them having been cheered yourself. My hope is that all of us will be able to see the good that is around us and accentuate the positive. I want to thank each one of you for who you are and all that you do to make Chubbuck a great place to live. With warm regards, Mayor Kevin England Quarterly Newsletter April 2023 Message from the Mayor: Volume 8, Issue 2 IMPORTANT INFORMATION! FREE BRANCH CHIPPING SERVICE Reminder! The Chubbuck child care ordinance was issued in 1988, which requires all child care and preschool facilities in the City of Chubbuck to be licensed. Any person being compensated by receiving goods, services or money, in exchange for providing child care services must be licensed by the City of Chubbuck. The exceptions are the occasional care of a child or children by neighbors, relatives or friends not ordinarily engaged in childcare for pay. We currently have over 160 licensed providers. All providers must complete a background check, have pediatric CPR & First Aid and complete 12 hours of continuing education each year. We appreciate all the hard work and effort our child care facilities and providers put in to make sure the children are safe and taken care of.
