HomeMy WebLinkAboutVol. 5, Issue 2Greetings, March 12, 2020 Spring is a wonderful time of year. It brings a newness of life and the promise of brighter and warmer days. There are 2 issues that I feel need to be addressed with this newsletter. First, it is the beginning of a new decade and with this event comes a Constitutional mandate to take a count of all those residing in the USA. It is an easy and vital step to take to participate in the 2020 Census. You should have received a mailing about this which explains the ways to participate. First you can fill out the form that they send you and send it back to them, second you can go online to fill it out, and third you can have a census taker knock on your door and fill it out with them. There is a whole lot that rides on each one of us accurately answering the census. To those of you who already have, thank you. For any who have not yet please get this Constitutionally mandated obligation fulfilled. Next, the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. As of this date, March 12, 2020, there have been no confirmed cases of this illness in the State of Idaho. That could change. Please take all of the normal precautions to avoid a virus. Wash your hands, don’t touch your face, use a hand sanitizer that has at least 60% alcohol content (70% would be even better), and wipe down highly used surfaces with a sanitizing product regularly. If you feel sick stay home until you feel well. The State has a site, coronavirus.idaho.gov, which you can check for updates. We at the City of Chubbuck are monitoring this closely. We are committed to doing the best and right things for our community. Thank you to each and all of you for making Chubbuck a great place to live.
