HomeMy WebLinkAboutVol. 5, Issue 1Greetings, What a wonderful, beautiful, and fast holiday season we have just experienced. It seems as though the first of October comes and before we know it, New Year’s Day is here. My hope is that each one of us had the opportunity to enjoy family and friends during the last months. I know that there are those who experience loneliness this time of year and my hopes and prayers are that many reach to those individuals with concern and love. Chubbuck has the kindest, most generous people in the world. Never hesitate to reach out for help when needed. We all have so much to be grateful for. Let us count our many blessings. We now start a brand new year. Let us all make 2020 a great year of perfect vision. (The Optometrists amongst us should really appreciate that statement.) There is much to be optimistic about for the coming year in this community. Much that has been planned for will come to, or at least be coming to, fruition during this year. Be committed to get involved as opportunities arise so that your voice can be heard and you can be a big part of moving us ahead in a positive way. There are so many ways to serve one another. Nothing that is done in this regard is small. By becoming involved in any way that you can, you become part of the big picture of things that will take place. It will not go forward as it should without your efforts. Please let us all be committed to giving it our very best. Fellow citizens, we need to set our sights high and work towards lofty, yet achievable goals. As we strive for excellence, there is no limit to the good that we can create together. Working together we all will be substantially better than we are now as this year concludes. I am so grateful for the opportunity that you have given me to serve the wonderful City of Chubbuck, Idaho and the fabulous people that live here. We really are better together, individually and collectively. Peace on Earth and good will to all… With warm regards, Mayor Kevin England January 2020 Important Dates to Remember Jan. 1-Utility Bill Due*Jan.1– City Office Closed Jan 8-City Council Meeting/6PM Jan. 14-LUDC Meeting/7PM Jan.15 City Council Work Study/4PM Jan.15-City Council Meeting/6PM Jan.16-Utility Bill Past Due *Jan.20-City Office Closed Jan. 21-CDA Meeting/5:30PM *Holiday & Garbage Service Notes In observance of: *New Year’s Day, the City Offices will be closed, Wednesday, January 1, 2020.
