Hello friends,
Can you believe that another year has flown by? All I can say is wow and hold on for the ride we
will call 2019. It is going to be an exciting, and I am sure, a fast year.
It has been a beautiful fall season. The holidays have been a joy and as we prepare to celebrate
another Christmas Hope, Love, and Joy are in the air. We had a wonderful time at Cotant Park as
we turned on the Christmas lights there and partied with one another. There were many that
worked hard and contributed in varied ways to make this happen. I want to say thank you to all
that participated in any way with this event. The community has stepped it up this year in
decorating homes and yards. It is a wonderful sight.
As we look ahead to the next few months growth is on its way. As we plan for this growth there
are growing pains associated with it. It is my hope that we can minimize these pains and find
blessing and opportunity as we march forth into a new year.
I am always so impressed with the compassion that is in this city. Whenever there is a need, many
find wonderful ways to contribute to those found in need. As joyous as this time of year can be for
some of us there is challenge, depression, and loneliness for others. I would like to ask again that
we all look around us, especially in our neighborhoods and with the elderly, and find a way to lift
and bless those in need with our time, talents, and actions. Lifting others is the truest way to
celebrate Christmas.
I love living in Chubbuck. Thank you so much for the opportunity that you have given me to
serve. My sincere hope and prayer is that all is well with you and yours.
With warm wishes,
Mayor Kevin England

Message from the Chubbuck Police Department
Those who wish to commit crimes are well aware Chubbuck is a nice place to live and for that reason
they will look for easy opportunities to get what they want. Be aware of your property and your neighbors
as well. Report any suspicious activity to the Police Department, lock your doors to your home and to your
garages when away, and place valuables out of sight and lock your vehicles.
Just a reminder about parking and snow removal. Be courteous to your neighbors and customers by
removing snow and ice from walk ways, sidewalks and parking lots. City code (Ord: 08-28-030) requires
owners or renters of properties to provide “all weather passage” to pedestrians, which means you must
shovel your snow. Additionally, we ask that those who plow, shovel or blow snow into city streets not to
do so. Please place your snow on your property and not upon the city streets.
Winter parking becomes a problem when those who park on the streets (legally and illegally) are in the
way of snow removal equipment. Please park all vehicles off the street if at all possible during winter to
facilitate snow removal. If a snow emergency is declared by the Mayor, those who fail to remove their
vehicle may have it towed to an alternate location and face paying a tow bill.
If we can abide by these laws we can continue to enjoy this wonderful place to live. You may clarify
these codes by going to http//www.cityofchubbuck.us/cpd/codeenforcement.aspx or by calling
208-239-3227 asking for code enforcement. The Chubbuck Police Department wishes you and your
family a safe and happy holiday season.
