Friends,
11 1:1
Another year is coming to a close. Time flies when you are having fun. It is important to look back and
° see all the blessings and accomplishments that have come in 2024. Fall ends, Winter starts, and the snow °
begins to fall. It certainly is a beautiful and joyful time of the year.
We have just celebrated Thanksgiving and are in the month of Christmas. This is a giving time of the
° year, and we live in a very giving community. Most of us have so much to give and do give generously. °
° As we contemplate just what we have to give I hope we will consider giving of our time. There are many °
• around us that are lonely and would benefit from a friendly visit. If we organize our time this takes little
° effort and could mean so much to any who are lonely or shut in. °
° °
• As the snow comes let us serve those we live around by helping to keep the snow off the sidewalks. It is• °
a simple way to brighten the day of our neighbors.
° We do live in contentious times. I would like to ask everyone to contemplate what we individually can
°
° do to be a calming influence in our society. This starts in the home and reaches out to our neighbors and °
• communities. A cheerful hello and a generous smile can go a long way to spread goodwill.
One last thought: "Small disciplines repeated with consistency every day lead to great achievements
gained slowly over time." Let us continue to be the greatest community we can be.
o Sincerely and with warm regards,
° Mayor Kevin England °

The future of Chubbuck is in your hands!
After a year of work on a new Chubbuck Comprehensive Plan, a draft and a survey will soon be available for public
review and comment. The plan is required by Idaho law and is a 20 -year vision for the City and all residents, and must
include things like zoning, economic development, housing, and transportation.
For this plan the City received a grant from the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health to include new measures in
the plan that can help improve the current and fixture health of the community. This includes access to healthy foods,
early childhood education, playgrounds (not just parks), and community engagement.
How to be informed and get involved — 1) See the city website at www.cityofchubbuck.us, there's a link under
CommUNITY to the Comprehensive Plan update, 2) while you're on the plan web page, click on the link to join an
email list for occasional updates, and 3) participate in the public outreach events to comment on the plan. Contact Don
Matson, dmatson&cityofchubbuck.us, with questions or comments.

you, "if you see something, say something". At
home, lock your doors and if away consider using
