HomeMy WebLinkAbout08 14 1951 CMdeclared the Motion was carried and that the ordinance was passed as Ordinance No. 10 of the Village of Chubbuck. It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the Ordinance be pub- lished in the Idaho State Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published at Pocatello, Bannock County, Idaho, and having a general circulation in the Village of Chubbuck, there being no newspaper published in the Village of Chubbuck. It was then moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the Board of Trustees proceed to give notice of an election proVided in said Ordinance to be held on Monday, August 27, 1951, and that the Board appoint the necessary Judges and Clerks for said election and make all arrangements for the same, as provided in said'Ordinance No. 10. An old bill against the Police Officer of the former Village was presented to the present Board of Trustees by the Texaco Station. After much consideration it was moved by Art Fenwick and seconded by Geo. Giannini that the Station be notified that the present Board of Trustees did not feel obligated to pay said bill. Motion carried. A bill in the amount of $36.55 from Idaho Power Co. was presented. It was moved by Art Fenwick and seconded by Geo. Giannini that the bill be allowed. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman Valenty and seConded by Art Fenwick that the meeting be adjourned. Carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:25 P.M. C 1 erk . MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTFES OF THE VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO The Board of Trustees of the Village of Chubbuck, Idaho, met in regular session at the office of Willis R. Ward at 8:15 o'clock P.M., August lath, 1951. Present .... John Valenty, Willis Ward and Art Fenwick Absent------Ernest Frasure and Geo. Giannini The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. It was moved by Art Fenwick and seconded by John Valenty that the following bills be allowed. Motion carried. CONTINUATION OF THE RFGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO The Board of Trustees of the Village of Chubbuck, Idaho, met in special session at the home of Charlotte Kennedy in the Village of Chubbuck at 8:30 p.m., August 22nd, 1951. Present: Valenty,Giannini,Ward and Fenwick. It was moved by John Valenty and seconded by Art Fenwick that the following persons be appointed to act as Clerks and Judges at the Bond Election to be held August 27th, in the Village of Chubbuck: Mrs. Talbot, June Stuart, Merle Creasman, Dorothy Thorpe, Lois Mickelson, Dorothy Ward and Mas. J. H. Stuart. Freemont Valenty was appointed as Constable. Meeting adjourned. ATTEST: Chairm~ ' ~ MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO The Board of Trustees of the Village of Chubbuck, Idaho met in regular session at the offdce of Willis R. Ward at 8:15 o'clock p.m,, September ll, 1951. Trustees present were John Valenty, Ernest Frasure, Willis R. Ward and Geo. Giannini. At this time there was presented to the Board of Trustees, as a board of canvasers of election, the report of the Juc~s and Clerks of Election on the vote cast at the Special Election held August 27, 1951, on the Question: 1. In favor of issuing revenue bonds in the amount of $70,000.00 for the purposes provided by Ordinance No. l0 of the Village of Chubbuck. 2. Against the issuance of revenue bonds in the amount of $70,000.00 for the purposes provided by Ordinance No. l0 of the Village of Chubbuck. The Board proceeded to canvas the returns of said Flection, and after exam- ination thereof, the Board finds that the returns of said Election and the result of the vote cast was properly set forth in said returns, and that the total number of voters voting at said election and the results were as follows: Voters voting yes, 90; voters voting no, 3. and Whereupon, it was moved,/seconded that the proceedings of the election,as returned by the Election Judges and Clerks, be approved. On roll call the vote was as follows: Ward, yes, Valenty yes, Frasure yes and Giannini yes. Whereupon, the Chair declared the Motion carried.
