HomeMy WebLinkAbout07 30 1951 CMJuly 24th, 1951 The recessed meeting was called to order by Chairman Valenty at 8:15 P.M. in the offices of Willis R. Ward. Those present were Valenty and Ernest Frasure. It was moved by Valenty and seconded by Frasure that the meeting be adjourned until Monday July 30th, 1951 for lack of a quorum. Motion carried and meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M. Ch irm ATTEST: INUTES OF MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELD JULY 30, 1951, AT 8:25 P.M. IN THE OFFICE OF W.' R. WARD IN THE VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO The adjourned meeting was called to Order by Chairman Valenty at 8:25 P.M., July 30, 1951, in the offices of Willis R. Ward in the Village of Chubbuck, Idaho, same being the regular meeting place of the Board. This meeting was a continuation of the regular meeting which was called to discuss and act on Ordinance to be numbered No. 10. A roll call was taken with the following Trustees being present: John Valenty, Art Fenwick, Geo. Giannini, W. R. Ward and Ernest Frasure. At this time there was presented a Waiver of notice of time and place of this meeting and a consent by all of the Trustees to the holding of the meeting at this time and place and the taking up for consideration Ordinance to be numbered No. 10, and the taking up, considering and acting upon any and all other business that might be presented to the Board and said Waiver was signed by all Members of the Board and placed on file. Proposed Ordinance No. l0 was then presented for consideration of the Board of Trustees. It was moved by Geo. Giannini and seconded by Art Fenwick that all rules requiring the ordinance to be read on three separate days be suspended, and that the ordinance be read twice by title and once at length, section by section, and be considered for vote at this meeting. The following roll call vote was taken on the Motion: Fenwick voted yes, Giannini yes, Frasure yes, Ward yes, Valenty yes, and the Chair ammounced the Motion was carried and the rule suspended. The title of the ordinance was then read twice, and the ordinance was then read in full and at length, and the Chairman called for a vote on the passage of the ordinance. On roll call on the passage of the ordinance the ~vote was as follows: Ward yes, Giannini yes, Frasure yes, Fenwick yes, Valenty yes. The Chair declared the Motion was carried and that the ordinance was passed as Ordinance No. l0 of the Village of Chubbuck. It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the Ordinance be pub- lished in the Idaho State Journal, a neMspaper of general circulation published at Pocatello, Bannock County, Idaho, and having a general circulation in the Village of Chubbuck, there being no newspaper published in the Village of Chubbuck. It was then moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the Board of Trustees proceed to give notice of an election proVided in said Ordinance to be held on Monday, August 27, 1951, and that the Board appoint the necessary Judges and Clerks for said election and make all arrangements for the same, as provided in said Ordinance No. 10. An old bill against the Police Officer of the former Village was presented to the present Board of Trustees by the Texaco Station. After much consideration it was moved by Art Fenwick and seconded by Geo. Giannini that the Station be notified that the present Board of Trustees did not feel obligated to pay said bill. Motion carried. A bill in the amount of $36.55 from Idaho PoMer Co. was presented. It was moved by Art Fenwick and seconded by Geo. Giannini that the bill be allowed. Motion carried. It Mas moved by Chairman Valenty and seConded by Art FenMick that the meeting be adjourned. Carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:25 P.M. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO The Board of Trustees of the Village of Chubbuck, Idaho, met in regular session at the office of Willis R. Ward at 8:15 o'clock P.M., August 14th, 1951. Present .... John Valenty, Willis Ward and Art Fenwick Absent------Ernest Frasure and Geo. Giannini The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. It was moved by Art FenMick and seconded by John Valenty that the following bills be allowed. Motion carried.
