Design Review Purpose: To guide the general appearance and arrangement of commercial,
industrial and intense residential uses in order to create an attractive and dynamic "downtown
business center", assure the compatibility of satellite commercial establishments and industrial
areas with their surrounding neighborhoods, and assure the compatibility of dense residential
land uses with surrounding neighborhoods.
CONSIDERATIONS:
1. Traffic Safety and Traffic Congestion: (Ingress, egress, off-street parking, unloading.)
2. Outdoor Advertising: (Outdoor advertising signs, height, structure.)
4. Landscaping: (Ordinance copy, approved tree list.)
5. Structures and Site Layout: (Exterior design, buffering, fencing, site arrangement.)
6. Drainage: (Storm & surface water, to be engineered, retained on site.)
7. Pretreatment: (Minimum 1,500 gal. grease or oil/silt separator.)
8. Exterior lighting: (Light shielding, light trespass.)
10. Fire Department: (Knox Box, fire hydrant locations, sprinkling, visible street address.)
12. Police Department: (Safety issues.)
9. Engineering: (Platting, other.)
11. Building Dept.: (Professionally approved plans, ADA compliance, dumpster enclosure.)
13. Nonresidential Waste Water Permit / Business license
14. Development agreement where needed.
